Franks Media only collects the information you choose to share when you enquire about a project, such as your name, email address, business details, project notes, and any files or links you provide.
This information is used to reply to enquiries, prepare quotes, deliver services, manage client communication, and keep basic business records. It is not sold to third parties.
When you use the contact or "Request a callback" form on our website, the details you enter are sent to and stored on our server. This includes your email address (required) and any message you choose to add. We also automatically record your IP address at the time of submission, which we use to estimate your general location (such as your country or region) — we do not collect a precise GPS location. We store this so we can respond to your enquiry, arrange a callback, and — because you agree when submitting the form — contact or send marketing about our services to the email address provided. We do not sell this information to third parties, and you can ask us to stop contacting you, or to delete your details, at any time by emailing [email protected].
The homepage includes an optional "Find my location" feature on the interactive globe. If you choose to use it, your browser will ask for permission to share your approximate location. This is used only to place a marker on the globe in your browser — it is processed entirely on your device, is never sent to us or any third party, and is not stored. You can decline the request, and the feature is purely visual.
The interactive globe includes an optional "spin speed" game with a public leaderboard. Taking part is entirely optional. If you choose to save a score, the following is sent to and stored on our server: the display name you type, your best speed score, the date and time you submitted, a broad indication of the device type and browser you used, and a two-letter country code (for example "UK · Safari · Mobile"). The country code is worked out from your browser's language/region setting only — it is an approximate region, not your precise location, and we do not use your IP address, GPS, email, or any other personal detail for the game.
To recognise your device on return visits and keep the leaderboard fair, your browser is given a randomly generated identifier stored in a cookie. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or any other personal information — it only tells us which leaderboard entry belongs to your device, so your own score can be updated rather than duplicated. The display name and any name shown on the leaderboard are public, and if you have saved a name it is also shown on your marker on the globe (in place of the default "You" label) on your own device. Please do not enter real personal information, contact details, or someone else's name; offensive, impersonating, or misleading names may be edited or removed.
Leaderboard data is retained while the feature is live so scores can be displayed and compared. You can ask us to remove your leaderboard entry, name, and score at any time by emailing [email protected]. Leaderboard information is used only to run the game and is not sold or shared with third parties.
You can request a copy, correction, or deletion of your personal information — including your leaderboard name and score — by emailing [email protected].
